Regular is the classic format of Siberia chewing tobacco: wider and shorter pouches than Slim, with the fullest mouthfeel of the three sizes. The range includes two varieties as a Regular can, plus a Softpack and the bulk size.

The four versions

Version Flavor Moisture Packaging Nicotine
White Dry Red Regular Cool mint White Dry Can approx. 43 mg/g
White Blue Regular Clear mint White Can approx. 24 mg/g
−80 °C Red Softpack Mint Softpack Softpack approx. 43 mg/g
White Dry Red 500 g Regular Cool mint White Dry Box approx. 43 mg/g

Red or Blue

This is the real decision on this page, and it is not only about flavor. Red is at approx. 43 mg per gram, Blue at approx. 24. That is a difference of almost half — switching from Blue to Red means reaching for a considerably stronger chewing tobacco.

In flavor the two are closer together: Red is cool mint, Blue clear mint. The difference in the pouch is the moisture. Red is White Dry and therefore extra dry on the outside, Blue is White and slightly moister. Both are properties of the pouch and say nothing about strength — that is shown in the Nicotine column.

How Regular differs from Slim and Mini

The three formats contain the same chewing tobacco in pouches of different sizes.

  • Regular — wider and shorter, the classic format. Clearly noticeable under the lip.
  • Slim — narrower and longer, sits more discreetly. The best-selling size.
  • Mini — the smallest version, the most discreet.

The net content differs by format but is not a measure of strength: pouch sizes follow no standard. The only comparable figure is the value in milligrams per gram, and it is printed on every can.

Can, Softpack or Box

Three kinds of packaging for the same chewing tobacco. The can is the usual form, with a lid compartment for used pouches. The Softpack is a soft pack, flatter and lighter, but without a lid compartment and less resistant to pressure in a pocket. The 500 g Box is the bulk size with loose pouches — only worthwhile once the format is settled.

Frequently asked questions about the Regular format

How much nicotine does Siberia Regular have?

That depends on the variety, not the format: Red is at approx. 43 mg per gram, Blue at approx. 24. The declaration is printed on every can.

Is Regular stronger than Slim?

No. The same variety has the same concentration in every format. The Regular pouch is larger; that changes the mouthfeel, not the value in milligrams per gram.

Is Siberia Black available as Regular?

No. Black is carried as Slim and Mini. As Regular, Red and Blue are available.

Which Regular to start with?

Blue, because of the lower concentration.

What does White Dry mean for Regular?

The pouch is processed to be extra dry on the outside. More on this under Siberia White Dry.

Sold only to persons aged 18 and over. Nicotine is addictive.
