What the figures mean
Three figures appear on every can of Siberia chewing tobacco, and they describe different things:
- Nicotine per gram — the concentration in the chewing tobacco. 43 for Red and Black, 24 for Blue.
- Moisture — whether the pouch is dry or slightly moist on the outside.
- Format — how large the pouch is and how it sits under the lip.
Red and Black against Blue
The gap between 43 and 24 mg per gram is not a nuance, it is almost half. Anyone used to Blue who switches to Red or Black is reaching for a markedly stronger chewing tobacco. The other way round, Blue is the right choice when the mint note should stay but the strength should be lower. Every variety is listed under All Siberia products side by side.
Dry or moister
White Dry pouches are extra dry on the outside, White pouches are slightly moister. That is a property of the pouch, not a statement about strength. In this range Red and Black are made as White Dry, Blue as White.
Mini, Slim and Regular
The three formats differ in pouch size. Mini is the smallest version and sits most discreetly, Slim is narrower and longer, Regular is the classic shape. The chewing tobacco inside is the same — Red stays Red, whether as Mini or Regular.
Flavor
Red and Blue are flavored with mint, Black is tobacco-forward. Flavor says nothing about nicotine content: Red and Black taste different and both sit at 43 mg per gram, while Blue tastes similar to Red and sits at 24.
