“Extremely Strong”, “X-tremely Red”, “Extremely Black” — these spellings turn up in searches and in older product descriptions around Siberia. In the current range, no version of Siberia chewing tobacco carries any of those names. This article sorts out what is meant and which figure actually appears on the can.
Where the names come from
Siberia cans have carried the printed words Extremely Strong for years. That is a promotional print by the brand, comparable to “Ice Cold” at Pablo or “Extreme” is for Garant — and not a variety name. Over the years retailers and forums have built their own names from it: “X-tremely Red” for the red line, “Extremely Black” for the tobacco-forward one.
The result is a muddle in which the same article is searched for under three or four spellings. The chewing tobacco is stocked under a single name.

The figure that counts
Whether the can says “Extremely Strong” tells you nothing about how much nicotine it holds — the print is the same on every variety, the declared figure is not. Red and Black sit at around 43 mg per gram, Blue at around 24. That is almost half the difference, with identical printing.
Set against the other lines in this shop, that puts Siberia in the upper range but not at the top:
- Skruf Ice — around 7 to 16 mg/g
- Siberia Blue — around 24 mg/g
- Pablo Ice Cold 3.0 — around 33 mg/g
- Siberia Red and Black — around 43 mg/g
- Iceberg Extreme — around 43 mg/g
- Garant White Extreme — around 50 mg/g
Why “strong” on its own says nothing
Three things regularly get mixed up with chewing tobacco when strength comes up:
- The concentration. Milligrams of nicotine per gram. The only figure that can be compared across lines — and even then only if both declare against the same reference quantity. VID declares per pouch, Cuba by a strength level.
- The pouch size. Determines how much material is in the pouch. The sizes follow no standard, which is why pouch weight is no basis for comparison.
- The flavor. Cooling agents change the impression markedly. Black without mint comes across to many as stronger than Red — with an identical declared figure.
In short
- “Extremely Strong” is a print by the brand, not a variety and not a level.
- What people usually mean by it is the White Dry line: Red or Black, around 43 mg/g.
- Blue carries the same print and sits at around 24 mg/g.
- Products are comparable through the declared figure, not through the print.
