“Is Siberia stronger than Pablo?” is the most common comparison question in this range. It can be answered, though not as simply as it is asked — because the brands declare against different reference quantities and because two different product types sit side by side. This article puts every line stocked here next to one another.
First: two product types, not one
Before figures are compared, the product type needs settling. There are three groups in this shop:
- chewing tobacco — the pouch contains tobacco. Siberia, Pablo, Skruf and VID.
- Tobacco-free nicotine pouches — a white carrier instead of tobacco, nicotine present. Garant, Iceberg, Cuba.
- Without nicotine — W1NNAS, with caffeine or melatonin instead of nicotine.
“Tobacco-free” does not mean nicotine-free. Some of the tobacco-free lines here carry higher figures than the chewing tobacco in the same price bracket.
Every line side by side
| Line | Type | Nicotine | Pouch | Flavor |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Skruf Ice #2 Medium | chewing tobacco | ca. 7 mg/g | White Chew Bag | Mint, menthol |
| VID Medium | chewing tobacco | approx. 12 mg per pouch | White Slim | five varieties |
| Skruf Ice #3 Strong | chewing tobacco | ca. 14 mg/g | White Chew Bag | Mint, menthol |
| Skruf Ice #4 Xtra | chewing tobacco | ca. 16 mg/g | White Chew Bag | Mint, menthol |
| VID Strong | chewing tobacco | approx. 20 mg per pouch | White Slim | three varieties |
| Siberia Blue | chewing tobacco | ca. 24 mg/g | White | Mint, clear |
| Pablo Ice Cold 3.0 | chewing tobacco | ca. 33 mg/g | Dry | Mint, menthol |
| Siberia Red | chewing tobacco | ca. 43 mg/g | White Dry | Mint, cool |
| Siberia Black | chewing tobacco | ca. 43 mg/g | White Dry | Tobacco, strong |
| Iceberg Extreme | tobacco-free | ca. 43 mg/g | Slim | Ice Mint, menthol |
| Garant White Extreme | tobacco-free | ca. 50 mg/g | White | ice-cold mint |
| Cuba Black | tobacco-free | strength level 6 | Slim | eight varieties |
| W1NNAS | no nicotine | — | Pouch | four varieties |
Where comparability ends
Two lines cannot be put in the same column, and that is not carelessness but a property of how they are declared.
VID declares per pouch
12 and 20 mg per pouch respectively, rather than per gram. Turning that into a figure per gram would require knowing the pouch weight — and pouch sizes follow no standard, not even within a single brand. Within VID, Strong is just under twice Medium; beyond that the figure does not carry over.
Cuba declares by a level
Strength level 6 is the manufacturer's own scale, not a measurement. It says something about the position within the Cuba lines and nothing about the relationship to Garant or Iceberg.
Siberia gegen Pablo
The most searched-for pairing. Both are chewing tobacco, both declare per gram, so the comparison can be made cleanly.
- Strength: Siberia Red and Black at around 43, Pablo at around 33 mg/g. Siberia Blue sits below Pablo at around 24.
- Flavor: both rely on mint and menthol. Siberia Black is the only tobacco-forward variety in this comparison.
- Pouch: Pablo is bound with xanthan in the Dry format, Siberia Red and Black are White Dry and extra dry on the outside, Blue is White and slightly moister.
- Choice: Siberia offers three varieties in up to three formats plus softpack and 500 g box, Pablo two pouch sizes of the same recipe.
Siberia gegen Skruf
The widest gap in the range. Skruf Ice #2 is at around 7 mg/g, Siberia Red at around 43 — more than six times as much. Moving from Skruf to Siberia is not a change of nuance but of order of magnitude. Within the Skruf line, by contrast, the steps are small: from #3 to #4 adds two milligrams.
Chewing tobacco against tobacco-free
This is where the common assumption that tobacco-free is the milder choice breaks down. Garant White Extreme at around 50 mg/g sits above every chewing tobacco in this shop, Iceberg Extreme at around 43 is level with Siberia Red and Black. The difference lies in what is in the pouch, not in the amount of nicotine.
What the comparison cannot do
Three things cannot be read off a table:
- The impression. Cooling agents change perception markedly. Siberia Black without mint comes across to many as stronger than Red, with an identical declared figure.
- The absolute amount per pouch. That would require the pouch weight, and that follows no standard.
- What suits whom. For that the table is a starting point, not an answer.
In short
- Only the figure on the can is comparable, and only between lines using the same reference quantity.
- Range in this shop: from around 7 mg/g at Skruf #2 to around 50 at Garant.
- Siberia Red and Black sit in the upper range at around 43 mg/g, Blue in the middle at around 24.
- Pablo sits between Siberia Blue and Siberia Red at around 33 mg/g.
- Tobacco-free does not mean milder — Garant carries the highest figure in the range.
- The only nicotine-free line is W1NNAS.
